C. Bechstein Model 8 – burlwood, restored with superb tone

This particular C. Bechstein Model 8 has been carefully restored and is in excellent technical condition. The soundboard and acoustic construction are intact and provide a full, rich tone that can be expected from this top model.

The original burlwood root veneer is in beautiful, well-preserved condition and gives the instrument a warm and elegant appearance; this veneer is relatively uncommon on this model.

Restoration work carried out:
- New Abel hammer heads
- Renewed keyboard inlay and new key coverings
- New damping felt and damper leather
- Keyboard restoration with high-quality ivory key material

Technical details: C. Bechstein Model 8 (1918), height approx. 132 cm, 88 keys, 2 pedals, serial number 113464. This is a used acoustic piano with fully restored mechanism and keywork.

The Model 8 is Bechstein's flagship model; this example offers the tonal character of a reference instrument without the purchase price of a new model.
